I had such a busy year in 2024 with commissions (For which I am grateful) but it meant that I didn’t really create much work for myself in my studio. In 2025 I want to concentrate more on creating a new body of work. My mind is bursting with paintings that I need to get done. So I am restarting to paint again on the 3rd January , I am looking forward to getting back to work.

The year of 2024 was a busy time for me, I got married in April, to the lovely John O’ Connor. We had my family home from all over the world. So I spent one month relishing the delight of having family around me. I also became a Nana for the first time, I have a beautiful grandson called Theo. I must say being a grandmother is fabulous.

I exhibited in the Errigal Arts Festival at Fort Dunree, “The Hills of Donegal” 8th June until 28th July. It was a lovely exhibition with members of Donegal Visual Artists Network.

August 2024 My work is on display at Belfast Gaol on the Crumlin Road in Belfast with the USWA.

August 2023. What a lovely August, I took part in The Ulster Society of Women Artists (USWA) exhibition at Belfast Gaol on the Crumlin Road in Belfast. After which I received my certificate of full membership to the USWA. It feels so nice to be accredited by my peers.

Update 24/03/2021 I am now an pre-selected Associate Member of the Ulster Society of Women Artists (USWA) as a self taught artist this is an honour for me.

My studio is filled with light and filled with all the materials and supplies I could want in one place. Messy drawers to store my paints. Essential to me are my extra pads of Arches Watercolour paper, for when whimsical moods and flashes of inspiration strike.

I have a phone to play music, a kettle for the numerous cups of tea I drink each day. All in all it is a sanctuary I’ve created for myself, where there are no distractions and I can lose myself in colour.
